Bowie is the titular protagonist appearing in the game. This spiritual anthropomorphic creature is the male Gongbat, and half of the protective mystics of sound, the female being Siren. He holds powerful shape-shifting capacities when in the presence of ringing gongs, allowing dynamic mutations in form and abilities. Every gong found in the game unlocks a neoteric change in design and new mechanics used to progress in the story.
During the main storyline in the game, a genius spirit collector named Hark kidnaps his family, and he will stop at nothing in order to get her back.
